The Elvetham is one of the most historic sites in Hampshire entwined in the British Royal Family and can be traced back to as early as the 800’s AD. England’s tales are woven through its ancient oaks and parklands. It’s the site where Eadric the Wild plotted against William the Conqueror in the 11th Century, where King John gathered his nobles in readiness for war with France in 1205, and where King Henry VIII fell in love with Jane Seymour, his third wife and mother of his longed-for heir, to name a few.
The Elvetham had previously invested in a wireless solution that over time had become outdated and, in turn, was no longer meeting the needs of today’s guests. As a Grade 2 Star listed building, a great deal of careful advanced planning was needed to ensure that the new wireless service would provide excellent coverage while respecting the historically listed building necessities. The hotel wanted a supplier that they could depend on to provide a five-star WiFi and internet access service that would ensure fast reliable connectivity and the ability to grow the network alongside their plans to nurture the estate to a five-star rating.
Phase 1 of installation at The Elvetham has provided excellent coverage of all guestrooms in the main house, public areas, meeting rooms and formal gardens. The final phase will see our coverage extend throughout the Stable Court building to provide guests with a seamless wireless connectivity experience throughout and a foundation on which other services are able to be provided.
