Introducing Gravity Coliving
By placing the community at the heart of its business model, Gravity Coliving listens, adapts, creates and grows with its residents. Each residence is unique, with flexible, practical and stimulating environments in which its residents can flourish. With its all-inclusive model for the tenant, Gravity wanted a technology partner capable of supporting all the innovations offered to its tenants, , including IoT, in line with its promise of high-speed WiFi and comfortable, connected communal spaces. With over 20 years' experience in the real estate sector, Wifirst was the right partner for the digitalization of the group's four London residences.
The partnership
Gravity chose Wifirst as its technology partner to deploy and operate WiFi, fiber and other connected services (IPTV and digital signage) in the group's 97 studios and coworking spaces. The infrastructure, commissioned in just a few weeks, is based on the use of 100% passive equipment (hardware) with the deployment of a dedicated fiber. This means savings for the operator and limited impact on the environment.
The solution
Thanks to the reuse of passive equipment, Wifirst accelerated the deployment process of the new WiFi infrastructure, reducing the deployment phase by 6 weeks. It also greatly reduced disturbance and noise during deployment, avoiding the need for drilling, an important point for residential applications. The reuse of materials also reduced costs and carbon emissions.
Result
This partnership with Gravity Coliving clearly demonstrates the benefits of the "As a service" model. We updated equipment that could still be used, taking advantage of software innovations developed by our R&D teams.
