Introducing Sergic Résidences Services
As a property manager, Sergic Résidences Services carries out its mission of creating links between the inhabitants of a building, a district and a city, so that everyone can flourish in their own living environment. With its Twenty Campus student residences, Sergic Résidences Services makes it easier for students to find accommodation and enjoy places created for and with them, through a number of innovative services. The Twenty Campus brand is now present in almost 40 residences and towns in France, with 6,800 rentals a year and no less than 13 years' experience.
The alliance with Wifirst
Sergic Résidences Services is a long-standing Wifirst customer, since the partnership began in 2010. For the past 11 years, we have been supporting them in the development of their residences and providing them with a WiFi connectivity solution. We share the same values of innovation, simplicity and performance.
Background to the redeployment
Following the first confinement in March 2020, there was a fairly strong evolution in internet needs, particularly in terms of bandwidth, whether for leisure or access to the digital campus. Sergic commissioned Wifirst to redeploy the WiFi service to offer residents the best possible user experience in this unprecedented context.
Result
For nearly twenty years, we've been industrializing the deployment of our networks. We carried out coverage audits on all residences to update all their installations, increase bandwidth and deploy new WiFi on 5% of the park, with the support of a project manager who steered the integration of the new solution in each residence.
A service that meets the needs of students in 2021
- 88% of students recognize that the Internet has helped improve their daily lives during the 2020 confinements.
- By the end of 2020, students were consuming an average of 100 GB of data per month on their residence WiFi network.
- 72% of students spend more than 6 hours a day on the Internet. And 44% spend more than 9 hours a day.
- 65% of students feel they have a better connection at home than at their place of study.
