Wifirst is now the connectivity partner of Micampus Living Residences in Spain

Wifirst, the french leader in managed WiFi for professionals, has been chosen by Micampus Living to carry out the development and implementation of connectivity solutions throughout its portfolio of residences in Spain.

With a dozen locations based in Madrid, Malaga, Seville, Valencia, Burgos and Logroño, Micampus Living is renovating its residences and providing quality technological services for students to benefit from over the coming years.

According to Javier García, Director of Wifirst in Spain, “One of the fundamental parameters when evaluating an establishment, beyond the quality of the service or the joint offer, is the availability and stability of the Internet connection service, reaching quotas of up to 90% when deciding on one or the other establishment depending on the service offered. The high demand for bandwidth management in particular has become an essential element when evaluating the quality of residences ”.

Additionally, future openings will be added to this ambitious plan too, such as the new Micampus Bilbao residence opening this month, where the Wifirst "Room Area Network" (allowing users to get  Private WiFi, like at home, accessible anywhere throughout a whole residence or hotel without compromising their security) will be integrated.

Wifirst solutions have meant a total renewal of the WiFi network in Micampus Living locations. Wifirst manages from the survey through to installation, commissioning and subsequent development of the service, with special attention to multilingual students, and with tools that make the network itself serve future associated services needs, such as streaming content via Chromecast.

Igancio Baselga, director of Micampus Living assures that “the commitment to technology is the key to offer high quality services at Micampus Living. In addition to the WiFi, we have embarked on a fibre optic improvement plan so our students can fully enjoy the network and maximize their study time in our centres.
